Selah is a social app designed to connect and interact with friends and family. It’s a dedicated platform to socialize, chat, and share media with your loved ones.
TekRevol partnered with the client to build a UX-focused, minimalistic social application for iOS and Android where people can interact with the ones that matter the most, like family, friends, and other close acquaintances.
The Concept Behind Selah
The client wanted to create a dedicated social platform where people could create groups with friends and family, socialize with people from their social circle, and share pictures, videos, events, and other stuff to keep in touch with others.
The idea was to build a separate networking platform for family and friends where there would be no distractions and people that use social platforms to stay connected to their family and friends would not end up wasting hours scrolling the feed.
Challenges & Solutions
The biggest challenge was probably creating a social networking platform that stands out from other platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook. Although the idea was unique, people would not buy it if the implementation was not done the right way. Thus, we integrated some fantastic features that may not sound such a big deal but are unique and currently unavailable on any other social networking platform except Selah.
Secondly, we showed that the app is only for socializing with family and close friends. No irrelevant influencers, fashion models, or other out-of-context individuals– only those who matter the most!

The client initially had an idea to build a dedicated social networking platform where people could interact with their loved ones without any distractions or irrelevant feeds.
What We Did?
We conducted a detailed consultation session with our client to discuss the features and functionalities we can integrate to make the right application and help Selah compete with big names like Instagram and Snapchat.
The Results
We delivered a fully-functional, UX-focused mobile app for iOS and Android with one-touch sign-up and various socializing features.
